Cultivate is for women, by women SO THAT you can meet Jesus and be changed by Him. That’s the heart and purpose behind all we do.
Without Jesus, none of us are whole. God’s desire is not for us to chase the myth of happiness, but to pursue a life of wholeness; a life unbroken and undivided, wholly committed to becoming the best version of ourselves, which is exactly who He has created us to be.
“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: take your everyday, ordinary life, your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—YOUR WHOLE LIFE—and place it before God as an offering…God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” Romans 12:1, 2 MSG
This year we purpose to become women who cultivate wholeness spiritually, emotionally and relationally. In order to do that, we need to:
- Connect with God, cultivating His word into our lives, relationships and circumstances. Yes, this takes time, but to be whole women, we must seek God wholeheartedly. We can’t afford not to.
- Confess to God and others, acknowledging that when we confess our sin and struggles, the enemy has no power over us. To be whole women, we connect in REAL community inviting people into our lives who encourage us to become our best selves.
- Control our time, recognizing that to live whole lives, we can’t do it all. Living an over-committed, over-active and over-entertained life divides our heart and depletes us of wholeness.
- Construct healthy boundaries, measuring our priorities with wisdom and our relationships with kindness. This includes being kind to ourselves as we cast aside comparisons, lay down unhealthy expectations, fix our thoughts on what is pure and remember that as a follower of Jesus, the best is yet to come.
Cultivating wholeness is an intentional effort and we walk forward in this pursuit TOGETHER, with grace, remembering that we may not be where we want to be, but we’re not where we were. Cultivate is a place for EVERY woman and we invite YOU to join us this year as we seek to live whole lives.
